I’m a big fan of Frank O. Pinion, currently on KTRS 550 AM in St. Louis. He’s a radio genius. One of the players, Karen Vail was let go last week. Frank offers his explanation in an audio file (see below).
I commend him for many reasons. Right now, I commend him most for the fact that he acknowledges when an on-air personality leaves/is fired/quits/etc. Usually, silence is the only thing that follows such an event.
